   I found the French election result very encouraging. It was a Front National and a nearly invented party election. It speaks volumes. Dear God, they can`t put up a socialist or conservative against the FN. Have faith. You don`t want to peak too early. Macron now has the sword of Damocles above his head. Just sit back and watch him fail. A few tweaks, a bit of rebranding and a new leader and the FN are home dry.

      I absolutely second that. People at WN sites are so into politics they ignore economy and environment and other things that are going on. This thing must play out by its own design. Its not our time yet.

   Don’t forget that France is under an emergency idict. They can bloc any internet, arrest you under any security pretext….. Besides… I think Le Pen should unite the extreme Left under the cry of Unions and Labour and Jobs!
   PS I thought that le Pen’s power base is in rural France and that is where the old canards live?

   Is there anyway you could do a debate with Richard Spencer on Ethnonationalism vs Empire. I remember their being a small argument on a red ice roundtable a while back where you “vetoed his dream” but I think their needs to be some kind of systematic rebuttal. Also, I think something needs to be said to him about Russia. The hysteria in the mainstream media over Russia should be rightly mocked but the amount of people in the altright who are boot-lickers for Putin and Russia is worrying. A few days ago Richard went on twitter to say that the Holodomor, regarded by all except the most rabidly leftist historians as a genocide, was just drought. https://twitter.com/RichardBSpencer/status/860723044909801473

      Yeah I appreciate Spencer’s efforts but sometimes the guy is out of his mind. It is a shame Greg does not have the name recognition Spencer has, because frankly, he has all of Spencer’s good qualities (intelligent, well-spoken), but none of the ridiculous, histrionic BS. The one giant ethnostate/empire idea is so ridiculous it makes our entire movement look bad. France is France, and Germany is Germany.

      Whatever one thinks of Vox Day, he has made similar points to Greg, in that Europe is still better off demographically, and their identity is far more historically rooted and concrete. American WNs need to shut up until they gain even a shred of understanding of Europe.

      I was initially very black-pilled on this until I took a deep breath and honestly assessed the situation. Much the same feelings I had after Trump did the Syria strikes. We must continue to think long term. The Americans sperging out over this election, and Spencer advocating his retarded one world white party only plays into the hands of (((TPTB))) because it gives undue legitimacy to democracy and democratic majorities.

      Thanks for going on with Woes and Expat, three of my favorites in our circle. I always enjoy Greg’s stuff.

         Actually, these days, France is North Africa and Germany is Turkey/Syria.

         There’s a middle ground between Spencer’s and Johnson’s position, but I guess talking about it is not as exciting.

   We did not vote our way into the current crisis.
   We will not vote our way out of it, either.

   Elections are just one front in a much larger struggle taking place in the media, academia, the world of art, on the virtual battlefields of videogames, and in the streets. And the battle is there when you deal with the endless cubicles of the state bureaucracy or advance to the farflung frontiers of the Internet.

   Really, elections only confirm the current winner in the culture war. Win that war and the voters will come. The National Front got 35% of the vote? Consider how strong the White Nationalist position would be in America today if an Alternative Right Party had 35% of the electorate behind it.

   It looks like the various identitarian, nationalist and Alt Right/Lite movements are breaking free of the delusion that the ballot box is the be-all-end-all. This is seen in the recent battle of Berkeley and Spencer’s march on Auburn.

   A couple years ago I heard a podcast by a Nordic (I think) nationalist where he said something to the effect: “Look, we already have the people behind us. The thing is to get them to take action.”

   The System is taking its best shots at the Alt Right and what can it come up with? Closing down some social media accounts and street thugs who are being routed by the 21st century version of the freikorps.

   White racial consciousness is there, under the surface, slowly coming into the light. The critical thing is to use media, art, street protests, online videos and even computer games to guide it in the right direction.

   And meanwhile, keep passing out those Red Pills.

      The big disappointment is here Donald Trump. In his simple but moving inaugural speech Trump promised that America was going to be ruled in the interests of the American people and he confirmed that he understood that every other nation had the same right to rule themselves in the light of their interests. In a phrase, an end to Globalism and Internationalism, and a return to populist nationalism. Trump was going end the war-mongering, meet up with Putin, down-grade NATO, build the Wall and control mass Third-world Immigration.Trump was the new force to usher in a safer and saner world-order. That was the hope that sixty three million Americans voted for; the hope shared by millions of well-wishes world-wide, particularly here in Europe: Trump, we all thought, was the man who could break the System .

      Had Trump held to the promises made at his inaugural speech, then Marine Le Pen may well not have won the vote, but she would have been seen to be the moral winner, and Macron , the System’s choice,would be looking now like yesterday’s man. Nationalists would have the wind in their sails: the big American was on their side; but now the System is laughing. You may know that yesterday in Germany Merkel won an important election victory. The System is laughing; the big American turns out to have feet of clay. It’s business as usual.

      What do we Europeans do now ? When we think of the answer, we’ll let you know.

   Good talk and I agree with 90% of it. I disagree on the optimism. First, if Europe is going to save itself, it would be helpful to see Europeans- particularly Western Europeans – actually start acting on these interests in a substantial way. I just don’t see it.

   Second, I think we need to be honest about the extent of Le Pen’s catastrophic defeat. Recently, Le Brun was here talking seriously that she had a chance – not a strong chance but a serious chance nevertheless – and that this election was the last chance to save France electorally. Le Pen was outvoted 2:1, did worse than expected, and lost every French district but two. We can’t whitewash that blow out.

   Should she be replaced as the head of the FN? Certainly. More important, French activists shouldn’t spend the next 5 years obsessing over Le Pen in 2022. Instead, get involved in Vanguardist activity, including community building, and get involved in local politics, parliment, and also the EU Parliment. Get involved in Europa Terra Nostra.

   Enjoyed the discussion and especially Millenial’s quip about boiling the frogs slowly.Don’t think we can paper over Le Pen’s defeat though.

   Oddly, Le Pen senior had it right.She should have stuck to immigration and secure borders.The talk about bagging the EU and restoring the franc just scared voters off. The franc was never a strong currency and raising the prospect of a currency collapse just fed into the establishment narrative. These weren’t her strong points and Macron hit them hard in the debate. They were options to explore post election not mid-election.

   The email drop also back fired so some real tactical mistakes too.

   It’s a depressing scene but she still got 35% and performed well in many areas. Foolish to think of dropping her now. The women factor is an advantage. Trump’s erratic behaviour and failure to push his policies through is also a direct contributor. Trump’s failure has become Le Pen’s. Now even the ghastly Merkel has fresh wind.

   But Terence Strugnel is right. There’s still the sword of Damocles over Macron so things could go our way. Hope that Le Brun will report at length as we need an inside view.
