For some reason, it’s expected that people find Barack Obama an inspiring, powerful orator, but I never understood what enthralled people so about him. His rhetoric is tired and banal, and he hasn’t a smattering of sincerity when he speaks.
Le Pen is on another plane. One can detect from her emotional investment in her speeches just how powerfully attached she is to the liberation of France. This passion embedded in and engendered by her appearances portends an ultimate awakening of the French.
