Regarding the “antifa:”
There is a Hegelian thing going on here, the side which backs down first loses regardless of material factors. The Left likes to give the appearance of strength, that it controls the streets and the campuses. They get away with a lot because the other side does not push back. But I’ve seen small groups of YAFers (YAF, for crying out loud!) who stood together, got in the faces of campus Leftists, and shifted the balance of power in front of the student union.
This is doubly so today as Leftist violence escalates. You have to be prepared for confrontation.
There are Alt Rightists who push the Way of the Warrior, who are martial artists, who have the training and self-discipline to stand tall. Why go out the back door when a show of solidarity might have forced those restaurant “antifa” down that staircase?
I know there is a risk here. Yes, people can get injured, yes people can go to jail. Yes, it is easy enough for me to tap away about all this. But the Left is not going to go away no matter how much you ignore them.
Providing your own security was mentioned. How about an Alt Right squad which shows up in combat boots, camo fatigues and motorcycle helmets? There are veterans who could provide training in crowd control and if not, the Internet has all sorts of manuals and videos. It’s especially useful to learn about citizen’s arrest and self-defense law.
Take a tip from the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s-60s. Let the other side initiate the violence, show them to be the aggressors, get it all on media. If you can pre-arrange friendly TV-radio-podcasts that is fine. If not, use your own media. There’s the capacity today to make any video go viral.
Get the lawyers involved. Find attorneys to initiate suits against “antifa” for violations of civil liberties as well as damages incurred. Some attorneys would do this for the money, others for the cause. (Is it really too much to ask any of the conservative versions of the ACLU to take up a case here?)
As for the cops: a typical excuse given by university authorities for tolerating leftist disruption of conservative speakers has been that no one notified the campus police ahead of time. So you got to go to the authorities up front and request (or demand) security at specific times and places. Get it all down in writing and with names/times of people contacted. Then if the cops do not show, you got a case. Conservative groups have sued administrations over this sort of thing; make it too expensive for the authorities to not provide security.
Now that a new regime is in the Beltway, there may be people in the Department of Justice who are sympathetic. Prosecutors and law enforcement officers who had to put up with the havoc of BLM and anti-Trump demonstrators over the last couple years may be looking for payback. Some diplomatic overtures might get them into action against the Left.
But again, you can not rely on the authorities. The Alt Right has to make a stand.
Next time, let’s see the Left being forced out the back way.
Spencer’s speech at the NPI conference and its astonishingly stupid reaction by several in the crowd have done enormous damage to the Alt-Right. Apart from the speech’s off-puttingly bizarre delivery (as though Spencer was trying to sound Hitler-esque… in forced five-second spates with awkward pauses for note consulting) its content was inappropriate for this time. All it did was force Trump to double-down on “anti-racism” and give a sense of moral superiority to “moderates” who’d climbed aboard the Alt-Right – and now, racial realists and White Nationalists are on the defensive. As far as those who threw the salutes… I can’t find the words right now to express the depth of my contempt for them.
Truly sad. Spencer does some good work behind the scenes, but he needs to mature before he gets back on the stage.
Roman salutes weren’t that terrible. There is some divide on how fast we should keep the Overton window moving. We need to cater everyone. Those who are just waking up, fully awake 1488 soldiers thirsty for blood and everyone in between. Judging by Andrew Anglin’s followers, the 1488 crowd is huge. I am reading his page and I can see why. Its the real deal. Natural progression is to start at alt-lite and end up full nazi. Most whites will go through it in next few years. I’m glad Spencer upped his game and named the Jew. He is taking heavy flak. IMO heiling wasn’t too much for now and and roman salutes were hillarious. For now we still have deniability because one was Asian porn star and another was self-identified Jew (+2 un-identified). We can just say it was one of those “hey Rabbi what ya doing” things. I saw CNN coverage of the incident and it was almost beneficial to our cause. Of course Trump had to disavow us. He is not even inaugurated yet. But those are just words. I am observing his actions and I like it.
The salutes may seem hilarious to you, but the more the Stormfront and DS crowds step onto the ledge, the more the effective Right (Trump and his administration, Breitbart, and so on) will be forced leftward in compensation. I dislike using crude analogies, but this situation is not unlike that of a teenage boy’s first experience with a girl. We’re trying to reach the climax of the movement too soon. Want Trump’s plans to control immigration (and consequently put the White vote back in the driver’s seat) to have the chance to materialize? Recognize that we have four years in which to wage the war of cultural repossession. Only a fool would attempt to complete that job in a couple of months.
Communist party is many times bigger than our movement, leftist violence is 20 times bigger than right win violence, communism has killed many more people than nazism. And yet nobody is asking Clintons or Obama do denounce them. No they openly plot against our nations in face of everyone and it doesnt bother the conservatives. It is because we are always on defense. Leftists never go after left extremists, yet they continuously trick conservatives to go after right wing extremists. And you are foolishly playing their game.
We have tried Jared Taylor way to present facts and charts and countless arguments. It got us nowhere. Its DS crowd that is making the difference and outcome of NPI conference was big net positive. There is no such thing as bad press. We need to just keep attacking leftist aggressively. Cucks are irrelevant because their methods are getting them nowhere. So they will have a choice: join us or join leftists. We need strong aggressive rhetoric and not watered down shit. And then most of them will join us. They are drawn to power.
” I dislike using crude analogies, but this situation is not unlike that of a teenage boy’s first experience with a girl. ”
As many on the alt right are actually virgins and beta males, this is totally fitting.
The antifa numbers in front of the Reagan Building were 200 max, not 1,000. I know b/c I attended the conference, and when Richard announced there were 1,000 I went to the entrance and counted heads. (Richard had been given the inflated figure.) I was at Maggiano’s Friday night and after the antifa had been removed from inside the restaurant by the manager (not by the police, as some stories have it – the two cops didn’t show up until afterwards), I went to the entrance and counted about 50 total – as MW says, about 25 had earlier burst into the restaurant’s ground floor, screaming obscenities, blowing loudly on whistles, disrupting the meals of everyone near the entrance (not NPI in our private dining room on the 2nd floor), and intimidating the regular customers.
