The Alt-Right is both a medium and a message. This is confusing for a lot of people. Don’t blame them. It’s tricky.
As a medium, the Alt-Right is an aspect of the internet and social media that makes use of a number of simple psychological tricks and which exploits a number of factors, including youth, anonymity, boredom, egoism, and shock value. This translates essentially into memes, trolling, shitposting, Tweeting, and various forms of LARPing and (usually anonymous) signalling. Its operatives are typically anonymous individuals, except in cases where they have been too stupid to ensure this.
The Alt-Right-as-Message, however, is a collection of ideas and moral positions that, like any ideology, has an inherent tonality and consistency (or not, in which case it needs to work harder at this). These ideas and insights involve anti-liberal, anti-globalist, and anti-egalitarian positions on things like gender, race, identity, materialism, and even economics.
Compared to the anonymity of the Alt-Right-as-Medium, the Alt-Right-as-Message has a pedigree and is associated with actual named persons – people like Dr. Kevin MacDonald, Jared Taylor, Stefan Molyneux, Dr. Greg Johnson, Richard Spencer, and many others.
The Alt-Right-as-Medium is basically stupid, visceral, edgy, and fun. The Alt Alt-Right-as-Message is intellectual, cerebral, balanced, and hard work (especially for those with lower IQs or for those with high IQs narrowly focused – i.e. the autistes in our movement).
Understanding these two aspects of the Alt-Right will save a lot of time and trouble in the future, as most of the controversies of the Alt-Right are generated by an inability to understand this distinction.
Understanding this distinction will also help the leaders of the Alt-Right behave more correctly, as sometimes the hard work done by the intellectual wing of the Alt-Right can be damaged by lapsing back into LARPier territory. Rather than give actual examples, of which I am aware of several, imagine if the greatly respected Dr. Kevin MacDonald, no longer satisfied with just being called a “Nazi” by groups like the SPLC, was caught on camera sieg heiling and shouting “Race war now! Gas the Kikes!”
That would be a riot, and of course some would praise it as a forceful “rejection of Leftist moral framing,” etc. But would it be effective? The obvious answer is no. Indeed, it would be highly destructive, as his lifetime’s work would be easier to dismiss as the work of a “Neo-Nazi nut job.” So, ponder this hypothetical example next time you are unclear about these two aspects of the Alt-Right and how they interrelate.
An interesting real-life case is that of Ramzpaul who seems to be frequently embroiled in Twitter spats with what are known as 1488ers. As a talented vlogger, active Twitterer, and über-troll, who also seeks to hold an intellectually and morally consistent position that goes down well with young Eastern European women, Paul kind of straddles the divide between Alt-Right-as-Medium and Alt-Right-as-Message.
The problem however is not Ramzpaul, the problem is the anonymous 1488ers, most of whom are simplistic and anonymous. Paul is routinely lambasted for not being purist and hard-core enough. He also picks up flack for his “normie” tone and for being soft on the Jews, even though he has frequently criticized Zionism and Jewish double standards.
There seems to be a misperception among 1488ers that they represent the hard core of the Alt-Right and that those in the Alt-Right who don’t constantly signal a similar Vantard position haven’t been red-pilled enough. When they do defend Ramzpaul, as some of them do, they usually say things like, “He’s a good entry point into the Alt-Right for normies.” People like Stefan Molyneux are viewed in a similar way, allowing the young, anonymous, autistic 1488er to have a sense of intellectual superiority.
In short, the 1488ers believe that they represent the core and a higher level of the Alt-Right and that all other aspects of Alt-Rightism – Ancaps, the Manosphere, pagans, trad-Caths, etc. – are merely lower levels of red-pilling for the normie masses leading to them. Is this view valid in any way?
It is early days, as most 1488ers seem to have only been 1488ers for around six months or less. I suspect that a great many of them – especially the more intelligent and balanced individuals – will mellow out and seek a morally and intellectually valid position instead of something shockish and sockish.
But we can also answer this question by surveying the general characteristics of the two kinds of Alt-Righters.
The characteristics of the 1488ers’ modus operandi – simplicity, repetitiveness, purity spirals, puerility, anonymity (sock value), virality (shock value), etc. – place it squarely within the Alt-Right-as-medium part of our scheme, and suggest that it is strongly a lower and subservient form of Alt-Rightism.
The main characteristics of the non-1488er’s modus operandi – logic, evidence, insight, moral and intellectual consistency, the reliance on abstract thought, social outreach, a desire to exist beyond the basement, willingness to learn from successful political groups in Europe – suggest that it is the higher and more evolved form of the Alt-Right.
So, does this mean that the 1488, shitposty, memey side of the Alt-Right should just curl up and die? No, far from it!
Because of the way in which the mainstream media is skewed in favor of hegemonic Liberalism, we need to have skilled skrimishers and asymmetrical warriors, even if they are obsessive, unwashed autistes in basements, who spend more time online than is healthy for them. It might even help for them to think they are the cutting edge and center of our movement as they find new ways to trigger the normies and push them in our general direction – as long as those really at the center of our movement don’t get too carried away and make the same mistake.

Alt right, or new right, is a failure. Why was it created to start with? It is a regression from what was labeled as “old right”, not a progress. Actually, it is a progress if you are viewing it from the liberal POV.
A failure? We’ve only just begun friend. The old right failed, if you’re looking for tired old right this is not the place for you. Sure the Alt Right is vulgar, it’s not as principled. But that’s what it takes to be successful in the current environment, particularly in America.
The old right didn’t fail because their ideas don’t work. If their ideology was exactly what the new right wants, the same result would have happened, if not worst. I don’t see why we can’t apply the old right concepts nowadays, especially after some kind of crisis, that is inevitably coming.
The Alt-Right is not the same as the Old Right. Completely different creatures.
I agree. The old Right didn’t fail, it was destroyed, and its ideas and philosophy discredited for 70+ years. Once again, we get into labels. Personally, I prefer New Right to AltRight. As long as one is a realist about race, and agrees to the 14 Words, I say welcome aboard.

Liddell once again proves to be one of my favourite writers in the Alt-Right. Some of the 1488 crowd seems on top of everything else to be quite confused. Right now in the comment section of Ramzpaul’s newest video, some are accusing him of being a cuck, even though his video is criticizing Paul Ryan for pandering to the Israel-lobby.
The people who have brought the Alt-Right to prominence over the last year are the ones who organise twitter trends like ‘BoycottStarwarsVII’, ‘White Girls are Magic’. Numerous social media accounts who dissipate information, undermine narratives and ridicule. Satire accounts like ‘Conservative Pundit’ (@DemsRRealRacists) makes mockery of a mainstream right which disingenuously projects itself as strong and steadfast. They are the people that undermine and expose the fake establishment narrative on MSM news sites which force them into draconian moderating policies or just closing them down.
There is obviously an ideological basis, a laid out alternative to liberal nihilism and every genuine person is appreciative of it. People are appreciative of articles like ‘How Alt-Right is this James Bond Movie’ or a 1,000 word critique of Nietchze. However, these things are not what has brought the Alt-Right to prominence.
I would recommend people to stop drawing arbitrary dividing lines between people and justifying them through strawman arguments. The same people posting Pepe, Taylor Swift and Happy Merchant memes are the exact same people consuming content on the Occidental Observer, Radix Journal, Alt-Right.blogspot etc. They change ‘characters’ but they are the same people.
That said ‘Alt-Right’ is just a new nomenclature for basically the same positions just sounds better than the American term ‘White Nationalist’ and the name ‘Alt-Right’ gives a degree of universalism that it could be applied to any society and is not just reactionaries of European descent.

Alt-right is the new, and you are just old. We tried it your way, and you’re not even trying. We are not dumb enough to back a horse that doesn’t run. White nationalism is a fake made up issue. America was founded by White people. The Founders wanted only White citizens. You sound like a dumb black who claims his ancestors built the World.
1488 is catchy. The 14 words just states that Whites have the right to exist. Hardly extreme is it? The Nazi thing is what the enemy call us. We didn’t start it, but they won’t stop if we do. If they want Nazi, they just might get it. Their genocidal intent is now far too obvious to deflect with calls for “civility”. They are not civil, they are scum.

I agree with this on some level but you can’t underestimate the importance of defeating the WWII narrative. The entire post WWII order hinges on the mythos they’ve created around it. Allowing them to have this would be like an atheist trying to argue against Christianity but allowing that Jesus Christ died for our sins and was resurrected.

The major problem with the article I believe is the title. “14/88,” as vague as it is, is far more definitive than “Alt-Right.” The AmRen, MGTOW and Breitbart crowd each have their own interpretations of what the “Alt-Right” is, and TRS and Daily Stormer each have theirs. The Alt-Right isn’t referred to as a “tent” for nothing. It’s too inclusive too to be a truly unifying movement in of itself. What, after all, does Counter-Currents have with MGTOW? A WN with a paleoconservative? An HBD “race-realist” race-mixer with an EGI anti-micegenationist? How’s can one create a movement, let alone ethno-state, with such a motley crew?
I’ve tried numerous times to contact Ram-Z-Paul, unsuccessfully, on Twitter to gain an understanding of his thoughts on Israel and how they enforce their anti-miscegenation and anti-racial-association policies: from staunch laws to banning books depicting relations and associations – even non-sexual ones … no comment, of course. But judging from his responses to other commenters, such questions would be met with straw man and inconsistencies.
Upon hysterically condemning WN in a recent You Tube video, something I’ve always suspected he’d eventually do considering his admitted indifference to it – just Google O’Sullivan’s Law – he’s been ambushed by many disgruntled WNs who point out his inconsistencies: full support for Israel under the guise “I support nationalism for all people,” just not WNs evidently.
Ram-Z-Paul’s biggest qualm with the so-called “14/88” crowed, from what I’ve gathered, is the concept of racial identity and purity for Whites – although again, NO COMMENT on Jewish racial nationalism and purity. But one can’t help but wonder if his own circumstances effects his opinions – does Derbyshire, after all, really believe that Asians aren’t disproportionally uncreative cheats and natural-born-conservatives that can culturally and genetically assimilate to Western identity or is that simply something he HAS to believe?
And, if Ram-Z-Paul has no qualms with racial-mixing – and if he doesn’t, under what context can he even consider himself a nationalist or even a race-realist? – what right has he to be critical of those who do? If he’s not a WN or necessarily a part of any movement – and he’s made both quite clear, “a simple man with a camera, nothing more” is I believe how he’s presented himself over the years – what right has he to be critical of those who are? Presumably, he doesn’t have a dog in the fight, so what right has he to be critical of those who do?
Picture if you will, two White guys, Skyler and Paul. Skyler highly values his genetic identity, Paul doesn’t – or at least claims not to. Very well, but if Skyler cares and Paul doesn’t, then common sense should tell us that Paul, who states that he doesn’t care one way or the other – or at least isn’t as concerned – should step aside and allow Skyler to have his way. Paul should be fine either way, right? Paul’s indifference to his racial identity should then make way for Skyler’s concern for and loyalty to his. Of course, Paul might be a liar, he may have other interests – and if so, he should at least be upfront about them. Nonetheless, Paul’s interests certainly don’t give him the right to demoralize Skyler’s pursuit of his genetic interests.
Ram-Z-Paul is said to be critical of Jews, but I believe this to be a straw man. He’s in fact critical of Jewish actions, NOT the Jews themselves. It’s liberalism that’s the problem, egalitarianism, Marxism, etc., not the Jews. Ram-Z-Paul is also supposedly critical of Zionism, but has in fact championed it on several occasions, calling it “Jewish Nationalism,” whilst condemning WN, and using the Jewish state of Israel as an example of what he hopes to achieve for “his” people, whilst denouncing its staunch anti-miscegenation and racial-association laws for White ethno-states. How can someone champion Zionism AND be critical of it? How can someone champion Zionism – which DOES incorporate racial identity and purity – but reject that for WN?
In essence, the Ram-Z-Paul’s of the Alt-Right want to condemn the atrocities of the Jews WITHOUT actually blaming or criticizing the Jewish people – is that even possible?
Ram-Z-Paul, among others, most notably former National Youth Front chairman Angelo John Gage, who recently deleted his Twitter account and You Tube videos after being criticized for, among other things, denouncing both the terms “White race” and “White Nationalism” – something that Ram-Z-Paul has actually himself supported doing – and from months back trying to avert attention away from the Jews in an especially Alex Jones fashion:
“It’s the elitists, it’s the globalists, it’s George Soros, etc., it’s not the Jews.”
Never mind that these “globalists” and “elitists” who are “disproportionally Jewish,” as the Ram-Z-Paul’s and Angelo John Gage’s of the Alt-Right would say – as if that is in of itself an excuse – along with their traitor Gentile pets who while stopping at nothing to morally, economically, culturally and demographically corrupt White countries coincidently leave Israel untouched.
Ram-Z-Paul asserts that George Soros is anti-Zionist, anti-Israel, yet Soros conveniently always backs the most pro-Israeli organizations, and IMMEDIATELY stopped financing the radical Feminist group FEMEN once they threatened to open up shop and begin demonstrating in Israel. Oh but somehow Soros is an internationalist who seeks to corrupt and feminize ALL countries, and is disconnected from Zionism, Israel, and Jewish identity.
Both Ram-Z-Paul and Angelo John Gage, among others, have systematically been pushing the meme that WN is a failed movement – “60 years of failure” is I believe is how they phrased it. What do they mean by “White Nationalism” and what do the mean by “failed”? Presuming that the “Nazis” are even a legitimate movement – which Ram-Z-Paul doesn’t seem to think – they certainly haven’t failed, they’re still around, we’re still talking about them, and openly National Socialist National Action (U.K.) is doing quite well considering. However hardly anyone alive in the West today has heard of Revilo Oliver or Jared Taylor. Would Ram-Z-Paul’s and Angelo John Gage’s of the Alt-Right consider Oliver or the John Birch Society to be successful? What about Enoch Powell? And as much as I admire Taylor what has AmRen really accomplished in the past 20 plus years? And can these past movements even necessarily be considered WN? Putting restrictions on Black immigration whilst allowing the West to be flooded with “high skilled and high-IQ Asians” doesn’t strike me as being necessarily pro-White.
Essentially, the Ram-Z-Paul’s of the Alt-Right say:
“Find a way to achieve White homelands and identities … without excluding non-Whites … Find a way to preserve the White race … without opposing miscegenation or forcing White men to choose from living in a White ethno-state and breaking up with their Jewish or Filipino girlfriends … Find a way to resolve the critical issues facing the White race … without being “too extreme” … Find a way to undo all of the problems caused by the Jews … without actually condemning or casting suspicion or criticism to the Jewish people.”
Personally, I strongly disagree with the Ram-Z-Paul’s of the Alt-Right. I don’t believe that WN has failed. I do however strongly believe that paleoconservatism, bath-house nationalism, civic nationalism, and so-called “modernism” has failed, does fail, and will always fail for no less than the reason that they aren’t “extreme” enough. They never ask the right questions. They never give the right answers. And they offer NO solutions. AmRen has NO solutions. Strangely enough an annual gathering of 100 or so of more-or-less the same people to drink and make speeches that they could’ve just as easily published on their websites doesn’t really accomplish anything.
I agree with the contrarian argument presented here. However, it is very difficult to sell on the street because, to the unpracticed eye, people like Ramzpaul and Milo aren’t really in the game. They’re pretending to make realism acceptable to normies, while hijacking the attention and mojo.
A stylish and positive turnabout by Mr Liddell after that unfortunate “Andrew Anglin is a Jew/mulatto/team of typing monkeys” article. All have a role to play and everyone is entitled to believe himself and his friends to be the true vanguard as long as they don’t attack others who are also doing constructive work.
That article was an inspired satire of Anglin himself. You need to read the sequel.
Liddell dubbed it satire only after he was eviscerated for showing an incredibly poor understanding of the work performed by Andrew Anglin. In his reply to Liddell, Anglin proved to be a far superior mind to Liddell, who simply did not understand Anglin’s propaganda/marketing strategy.

His intentions where clear, his article wasn’t amusing and his analysis missed the mark on all levels.

A lot of 1488ers are now calling themselves Alt-Right, that is for sure, but they seem to confuse ‘anti-Jew’ with Alt-Right. Sure, Alt-Right is anti-Jewish power, but you can be anti-Jew from many different ideological standpoints, even communism.
Most of the 1488ers that I have seen are just have a lamestream Republican chassis with an anti-Jewish or ‘racist’ paint job. Don’t get me wrong – you CAN be a 1488er and Alt-Right, but you have to have more intellectual heft than just being anti-Jewish or ‘racist’. In this sense the 1488ers are similar to the so-called ‘counter-jihadist’ people. I would rate the counter-jihadists as more problematic than the 1488ers, however. The 1488ers often come around to our way of thinking, not so the counter-jihadists.

This article is weak sauce. Collins contention that 1488ers are just basement dwelling autistics obsessed with purity is demonstrably false. Anglin is Trumps biggest fan and most 1488ers support a pragmatic approach to politics. Ukrainian nationalist whom Greg is supportive of are pretty 1488 if their symbolism and rhetoric is anything to go by and they are out on streets as well. National Action carry signs that say “Hitler was right”, they dress scary and are often out on the street. Collins attempt to pigeon hole non moderates is obvious and he is trying to flatter his favored group by creating a strawman of those he looks down on.
The Alt-Right is too vague to be any kind of a destination. It’s going to get a lot vaguer as the normies come piling in.

It’s kind of funny to see this article on Counter-Currents. CC may not be an 88 site, but I have always considered it to be very much a 14 site.
It’s also worthwhile to note the trajectory of the TRS guys; from vague, ill defined Alt-Right, to pretty serious White Nationalism (14). You could hear the transformation taking place as they digested the Culture of Critique, something that many Alt-Righters seem to be more than a little bit ignorant of.
I was also surprised to see this article on CC seeing as how Greg has been supportive of Golden Dawn, Ukrainian Nationilist, and National Action. All these groups fit comfortably into the 1488 category and all those groups have been targeted by anonymous concern trolls saying they are to extreme. The sharpshooting and basement anon trolling clearly cuts both ways and isn’t just something “purist” do as Collin seems to be implying. Anglin and Weev regardless of what you think of them also have their share of faceless critics who are never happy with anything they do. The idea that moderates don’t engage in the same kind of sharpshooting is absurd and given that Trumps biggest fans are the 1488 team it’s hard to make the case that they are inflexible autist. Basically Collin doesn’t like Peppi and crud memes and thinks you shouldnt either if you want be seen as one the serious high status people in the movement.

This article clarified the confusing territories of the movement. We now have bookstores, radio broadcasts, editorials, news and a growing cannon of absorbing literature and research. In search of efficiency, we certainly could use an alternative University of our own; and a Technical College — even if in the limited form of online entities, in a pairing of specialized and very generalized formations. An alternative and serious online reform University with a low cost high commitment structure — perhaps along the recounting of Tito Perdue. Genetic/ancestral eligibility, and an online 1488 Technical College that flushes out masonic deadwood, orientalist commerce; and restores Europid apprenticeship and agriculture to its heights. The “Alt-Right whigger faggots” have always been renting Holiday Inn banquet sites and selling stuff since David Duck was a pup, and looking down on the rank and file Klansmen while wanting to put the moves on the womenfolks and wallets.
Ever since William Pierce found an abandoned jewboy and set it up with a virtual colostomy bag in 2000, the bowel Movement has had a collection of jewboys and mamzers installed as “Fearless Leaders” who are more Hitler than Hitler. Thus what these so-called “14/88ers” claim to believe is not only nonsense, but un-Scriptural. In no way what they are supposed to believe when claiming to be one of us. But then again, how can they believe what they are supposed to believe given that they are not one of us and thus cannot understand, much less internalize any of it?
When I got into the bowel Movement in 1993 just after Waco, there were plenty of militias in Southern Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and even Kansas, and all of them were less than 20 people lead by veterans who were either Klansmen or Christian Identity (or usually both). And then, just before Oklahoma City bombing, here cum some suburban whiggers claiming to be a “CONstitutional militia.” And while we initially humored them in looking for new talent, the end result was that these politically correct suburban whiggers started bitching about our racism and contempt for the CONstipation and Bill of Goods and wanting an apocalypse to cull the herd. They got to bitching about Klansmen having a rally at Lone Jack, where Quantrill won and so Lone Jack was destroyed by Union General Order 11 during the guerrilla war in Missouri. They also started buying SKS chink rifles, and arming Troost Avenue Kansas City niggers for a “Central Brigade” and talking to the FBI. Whereas we simply went back underground, and when Y2Kaos went bust, the militia movement was dead for over 10 years. There Ain’t Any Such Thang as a CONstipational Militia because the Founding Felons in theyz’ precious CONstipation did away with militias at the township and county level and set it up to where the states establish “select militias” which are federalized, hence the “National Guard.”
Today there are four or five times as many paramilitary organizations post 2009 as there were post 1993. They call themselves “preppers” or “doomers” or “survivalists” as opposed to “militias’ now. I myself call them the “pre-Warlords.” All they need, as were the pre-militias of 1993, is a political and racial indoctrination of Dual-Seedline Christian Identity and then you will see not one or a dozen or twenty regional ethno-racial states, but what I call The Ten Thousand Warlords.
So what are the “Alt-Right” whigger faggots and the 14/88 jewboy & mamzer betas going to do and on the Internet? Why more Internet, of course!
This is a time of ferment, of course. The piss-froth rises to the top like on a plastic jug of Dos Lindstedt’s Premium Urine Sipping Beverage & Asparagus Fertilizer. Is there any downside to the Alt-Right Whigger Faggots sucking each other off in their blogs and banquet rooms? Or in the 14/88 jewboys and mamzers LARPing for the lulz? Probably not.
But what exactly is the up-side? Are there not more political and military and organizational lessons to be learned looking at episodes of “The Walking Dead” than in reading Amren, Ramzpawl, Occidental Observer, Counter-Currents, Trad Yoots, and Daily $permer combined?
