After a significant bump in traffic due to the 2012 US Presidential Election and its aftermath, our unique visitors/month number seems to be plateauing around 80,000+. I attribute this to the suck of mainstream politics. After a few months of disillusionment and soul-searching, some of the Republicans who started reading us have gone back to their old tricks. Interestingly enough, though, over the last two months, the number of pages viewed at the site has never been higher. So although we have fewer people, they are using the site much more intensively. Fewer but better is our motto anyway!

2. Our Webzine

In March, we added 70 posts to the website, for a total of 2,523 posts since going online on June 11, 2010. We also added over 400 new comments.

3. Our Comments Policy

At the beginning of April, we were forced to shut down comments at Counter-Currents. Due to the loss of two key donors, whose donations amounted to more half of my annual income, I have had to take on outside work which will significantly reduce my productivity for the movement. Thus I am forced to cut inessential activities. Moderating comments and replying to them was taking around 15 hours/week, and I simply no longer have the time.

4. Our Fundraising Efforts

As I mentioned, Counter-Currents has lost two key donors, which will entail scaling back our activities. The situation, and what you can do to help out, is outlined in my article “Movement or ‘Stuckment.’ [2]” Please consider making a donation today.
