Jacob “Jack” Lew:
Obama’s Nominee for Secretary of the Treasury

President Obama recently named several top-level appointees for his second term. They require Congressional approval.

The most contentious is former US Senator Chuck Hagel (R.-Neb.), an Episcopalian of German, Polish, and Irish descent for Secretary of Defense. Neoconservatives castigate him as “anti-Semitic” because they deem him insufficiently slavish to Israel and its Amen Corner.

If only ’twere true.

Another is US Senator John Kerry (D.-Mass.) to be Secretary of State. Kerry’s father, a crypto-Jew who passed as an Irish Catholic, was a high-level Foreign Service officer who served in the State Department’s Bureau of United Nations Affairs. Kerry’s mother was a member of the social aristocratic ^[2] Forbes family ^[3] of Boston. Kerry is a product of the genetic intertwining with native elites that Jews invariably engage in as part of their inborn, non-territorial group strategy.

For CIA Director Obama selected John O. Brennan, currently “chief counterterrorism adviser”—formally, Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and Assistant to the President. Brennan, the son of Irish Catholic immigrants to New Jersey and a lifetime CIA apparatchik, seems to hate American freedom ^[4].

Finally, for the key post of Treasury Secretary the President chose—surprise, surprise—his White House Chief of Staff, an observant Orthodox Jew named Jacob “Jack” Lew, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the Brookings Institution.

He is called “Jack” rather than “Jacob” as many Jews semi-disguise their Old Testament first names with more mainstream-sounding nicknames: “Ben” rather than Benjamin, “Dan” rather than Daniel, “Josh” rather than Joshua. Wikipedia‘s page about him, which has been around a long time because of the many prominent positions he’s held, was headed “Jacob Lew” until yesterday, when it was changed to “Jack Lew.”

Lew’s name was floated to news organizations three or four days before its formal announcement to the public.

Articles about the Treasury nominee in the Establishment press—AP, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, USA Today, National Public Radio, Bloomberg, the National Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Yahoo! News—amount to little more than PR puff pieces.

The Mediator

Over the years Lew has served as senior adviser to Leftist House Speaker “Tip” O’Neill (D.-Mass.), Special Assistant to President Clinton, a member of Clinton’s National Security Council, and Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under both Clinton and Obama.

“My mother could never understand how I became OMB director,” Lew, an attorney, confided to a reporter. “Because I’m not an economist, I’m not a finance professional.”

Well, she’s not the only one. Now he’s advanced to Treasury Secretary, where he’ll lead a massive bureaucracy and act as principal economic adviser to the President of the United States.

Here’s how Lew perceives his particular expertise, according to Politico‘s “Ben” Smith ^[6]:

The thing that I learned early on was there’s a space in Washington that is not deeply populated, which is a bridge between the highly technical and the political. You didn’t have to be the best politician, and you didn’t have to be the best numbers cruncher or analyst. But if you could be fluent in both worlds and respected enough in both worlds, you could have an opportunity to be a translator and to make a difference.

I can lay out complicated ideas so that people can see where they agree and where they disagree and not have fights that they don’t agree on and see the things that they want to work together on and identify where the differences are. That kind of civil discourse and that translating between technical and political—it’s not divorced from having a [Left-wing] worldview.

Smith noted that “Lew was in New York to give the commencement address at Forest Hills High School [his alma mater], where he extolled the values of immigration.” Indeed, Lew keeps a scale model of Ellis Island on his desk in the White House ^[7].

Publicly, Lew maintains a low profile despite his relentlessly upward Washington career path. A handwriting analyst told ABC News that Lew’s weird signature ^[8], which will appear on all US currency unless he changes it (which the media and those who speak through it are indirectly pressuring him to do), indicates that he is “not interested in communicating and . . . doesn’t want to give away more than necessary.”

Secretary of the Treasury

The new Cabinet position is a plum job; the Treasury Secretary ranks fifth in the presidential line of succession after only the Secretary of State (John Kerry, if confirmed) among Cabinet officials.

Because in a surveillance state the Treasury Department plays an essential role in destroying the financial underpinnings of groups opposed to government policy and surreptitiously undermines the sovereignty of foreign nations targeted by Jews, Israel, the UN, the EU, and the US, Treasury posts are extremely important positions.

America’s first Jewish Treasury Secretary was virulent Germanophobe Henry Morgenthau, Jr. under Franklin D. Roosevelt—though the horrifying anti-Semite (we are constantly told because he expelled Jews from his war zone in 1862) President Ulysses S. Grant in 1869 offered the post to Jewish financier Joseph Seligman, who turned it down.

Morgenthau was responsible for the disgusting Morgenthau Plan, a “vicious campaign for the starvation of central Europe” ^[11] drafted in conjunction with Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Harry Dexter White, a Communist spy. Never before in American history had an unelected bureaucracy of faceless, “fourth floor” officials exercised such arbitrary power over the future of nations as did Harry Dexter White and his associates in the Department of the Treasury under Henry Morgenthau, Jr. What they attempted to do in their curious twisting of American ideals, and how close they came to complete success, is demonstrated in the Morgenthau Diaries.

Unsurprisingly, Jews have become more common since: financier C. Douglas Dillon (a quarter-Jew) (John Kennedy), W. Michael Blumenthal (Jimmy Carter), and Robert Rubin and Lawrence Summers (Bill Clinton).

Stuart A. Levey briefly served as Obama’s Acting Treasury Secretary prior to the appointment of Timothy Geithner. His main position under both George W. Bush and Obama was Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence. He played a key behind-the-scenes role for many years undermining the economies of Iran and North Korea within the international financial system. He bitterly hated Saudi Arabia as well. Levey was succeeded in Treasury’s “Terrorism” post in 2011 by another Jew, David S. Cohen.

These are not positions of minor importance.

Financial Wizard

Lew’s father immigrated to New York City from Poland.

Jacob Lew attended Carleton College, an expensive private college in Northfield, Minnesota, where his faculty adviser was Left-wing activist and political science professor Paul Wellstone (D.), who later assumed the US Senate seat that Minnesota permanently reserves for Jews. New York City TV funnyman Al Franken (D.) is the current occupant.

Wellstone launched young Lew’s Washington career by securing a job for him with Jewish feminist battleaxe Rep. Bella Abzug (D.-N.Y.) in the nation’s capital.

Lew graduated from Harvard University in 1978 and Georgetown University Law Center in 1983.

After serving as a top aide to Irish American Congressman Tip O’Neill, one of the most powerful men in Washington, Lew spent five years (1988–1993) in the private practice of law. He also worked as Executive Director of the Center for Middle East Research (for a year) and Director for the Democratic National Committee’s Campaign 88.

The so-called “Center for Middle East Research” is an enigma. It appears not to exist anymore. It’s completely unclear what, if anything, it was.

Between the Clinton and Obama Administrations Lew worked for New York University, where liberals say he played the part of a “union-buster” instrumental in ending graduate teaching students’ collective bargaining rights. (Who knew they had any?)

From 2006 to 2008 he worked as managing director and chief operating officer of Citi Global Wealth Management and Citi Alternative Investments at Citigroup on Wall Street.

There he oversaw, or helped oversee, a half-billion dollar “fund of hedge funds” that placed a significant portion of its assets with hedge fund manager John Paulson, who made a fortune when housing prices collapsed (he’d shorted the market). Despite Paulson’s English- or Scandinavian-sounding surname, the billionaire speculator is a Jew.

Even so, in the first three months of 2008 alone Lew’s unit lost more than half a billion dollars overall. Citigroup subsequently received $45 billion from TARP, the federally-funded bailout program for big banks, and issued an additional $64.6 billion in taxpayer-backed debt through an emergency Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) program.

Lew received a salary of $1.1 million from Citigroup and, two weeks before joining Obama’s State Department in 2009, an additional $944,578 bonus after the megabank received its enormous taxpayer bailout. Despite media inquiries, the bonus was concealed from the public until 2010 ^[13].

Left-wing magazine Mother Jones’s ^[15] (note: the preceding URL links to a David Horowitz website) brief 2012 account of Lew’s stint on Wall Street ^[16], written by Siddhartha Mahanta, was subsequently reworked to soften or remove criticism. A note appended to the article now states “This post was edited to more fairly reflect Lew’s policy record.” Several “progressive” Jews are now quoted to the effect that Lew’s Wall Street activities were blameless; it is also claimed that Lew enjoys “enduring popularity with Republicans.”

“A Very Committed Jew”

Jewish Week wrote last year that in a private speech to an Orthodox congregation in the Bronx Lew once came out “very strongly” (though “with a great deal of respect”) against early release from prison for Jewish traitor Jonathan Pollard, who will be eligible for parole in two years.

While this stance, if true, is more positive than not, it speaks volumes about this country and its Jewish community that such a position is not the norm among American Jews.

Michael Miller, executive vice president of the Jewish Community Relations Council (a major pillar of organized Jewry in America), where Lew served on the board from 2004–2006, called him “a very committed Jew.”

Lew lit the menorah on the National Mall under the aegis of the American Friends of Lubavitch. Rabbi Levi Shemtov, head of the Chabad group, agrees that Lew is deeply committed to his Jewish identity. Unfortunately, similar public displays of Christianity are illegal or otherwise strictly verboten thanks primarily to the strenuous insistence of . . . Jews.

Lew is very close to the Jewish community and has served as a go-to person for Jews in Washington.

Ominously, anti-white civil liberties foe Abraham Foxman, National Director of the ADL, has praised Lew ^[18]—which raises a red flag about his so-called “centrism.”

Equally disquieting is warm praise from racist Likud apparatchik and chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel Nathan Sharansky ^[19].

Lew, Sharansky said, has a “warm place in his heart that is reserved for Israel and Judaism.” Lew will not remain indifferent to Israel. “For him, it’s not just another country. His faith and bond with Israel and the Jewish people is an important part of his life.” Lew

is a man who’s open to Israel and the Middle East and has extensive knowledge on the subject. He has worked in this field for many years, and it’s always good [for Jews] to have someone who cares and is in the know. Lew is a great Israel supporter and has always taken upon himself to help us.

Even before he became Obama’s Chief of Staff—i.e., when he was with the OMB and other positions having nothing legitimate to do with Israel—his son studied at a yeshiva in that country and Lew maintained a “close working relationship” with Israel’s ambassador to the United States Michael Oren, and met several times with Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz.

As a youthful aide to Tip O’Neill, Lew was instrumental in pressuring the American government to move thousands of Jews out of Russia into the United States while millions of whites and Christians continued to rot in Communist prisons, concentration camps, poverty, and ignorance as they had since 1917. As always, only Jews mattered.

Double Standards

Like all Jewish government officials, Lew holds Jewish and Israeli interests in high regard. Despite his low-key approach, he is definitely an ethnic and religious partisan.

In sharp contrast, white and “Christian” officials never represent the interests of whites or Christians. They give them the back of their hand: they discriminate, suppress citizens’ God-given, Constitutional, and legal rights, and adhere to policies that are indisputably genocidal.

A genuine, traditional Christian officeholder, unlike an Orthodox Jew, would never be applauded by the press and politicians for his piety. He would be savagely vilified, and his career probably destroyed.

According to an Orthodox Jewish source ^[21], when Lew worked for President Clinton in 1999 as director of OMB he had permission to take every Saturday off.

Even in an emergency, he reportedly once refused to pick up the telephone to speak to Clinton—even as the President begged him to, over the answering machine—until receiving permission from his rabbi. “I know it is the Sabbath,” Clinton could be heard saying, according to an MSNBC report, “but this is urgent. G-d would understand.” Lew asked his rabbi for directions as to when he was permitted to talk on the phone on Shabbos, and he was told that when the President calls urgently, he was allowed to pick up.

The story sounds crazy enough to be true. Who’s the bigger clown, Lew or his servilely begging boss, the President of the United States? Both are equally ridiculous.

How fortunate for American liberals that Lew isn’t a religious whack job (i.e., a believing Christian) and therefore poses no threat to the separation of “church” and state. After all, as a Jew he’s chosen by God.

The next time the global economy is on the brink of collapse, however, the world won’t have Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to rely upon ^[22]. Pious Jacob Lew might be taking the day off—unless his Orthodox rabbi interprets halakhah so as to permit him to do his job.
