A Church Full of Whores

Jack Donovan

771 words

Czech version here

I just finished listening to Greg Johnson’s interview with Mark Dyal on Counter-Currents Radio. Dyal’s journey from smug anti-racist skate punk and Public Enemy fan to Black Studies major to Nietzschean skinhead fascist was at once fascinating and familiar.

There’s a saying on the old right that goes something like, “though we’re pleased when the town whore comes to church, we take pause when she wants to lead the sermons.” I think I’ve seen it applied to me, and if it hasn’t been, it certainly could be.

I’m certainly not “of the right.” I grew up watching MTV, like everyone else my age—except maybe those Mennonite kids down the road. When I went to art school in New York, the first book reading I ever went to was for Camille Paglia’s Vamps and Tramps. I was a country boy fascinated by bizarre performance art and Jean-Paul Gaultier and the future and everything that seemed NEW and exciting in the early 1990s. I went out to nightclubs and did key bumps off the fist of a flamboyant murderer who became my mentor and employer. It was a place and a pocket in time—just before Giuliani—as decadent and debauched as Weimar Berlin.

It wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles and managed the office of an interior designer in Beverly Hills that I really understood how grotesque and evil the American Dream has become, and maybe always was. It took a while to put it all into context—to read different things and think different thoughts and understand what was wrong. As I recently prepared my first book for a second printing, I cringed a bit at how liberal—how liberationist—it was. I’m still learning and thinking, as thinking men always should.

It wasn’t so long ago that Americans lived in a patriarchal civilization run by and largely for white men. But it wasn’t in my lifetime. I have no memory of authentic ancestral Tradition in the Evolian, capital “T” sense of the word. I’m a man of my time. I’m an American. I come from the modern, capitalist, feminist, technocracy where almost everything once taboo is now permissible and God is completely optional. I’m a product of the Enlightenment and materialism and SCIENCE!

It’s an article of faith among mainstream liberals that all opposition on the right comes from backward, isolated, uneducated rednecks and the cynical fat-cat war-mongering industrialists who goad them good ole boys into foreign wars and feed ‘em Chick-Fil-A. The problem, as they see it, is that the right gets it wrong because they simply haven’t heard the good word.

I agree with Kurtagić and Dugin that, “Westerners think in liberal terms by default, assuming that no sane, rational, educated person could think differently, accusing dissenters of being ideological, without realizing that their own assumptions have ideological origins.” The Apple demographic is probably right that “conservatives” are just short bus liberals who aren’t quite up to speed—who want to “go a little slower, or take a few steps back.”

We were all born into the liberal whorehouse. We’ve all indulged in its vices and sampled its sins. The differences between us are a matter of degree, and of which sins. Purity is a pose, a blame game of “purer than thou.”

The old boys’ club—the iron fist that stands up for virility and hierarchy and order—survives only as the ghost of patriarchy’s past. The old right is a scary bedtime story for naughty little boys and girls and mixed race transpersons.

Any American New Right will rise from the suffocating slop of liberalism, gasping for air and shouting “NO MORE!”

Any American New Right that means anything will be more revolutionary than reactionary.

Any American New Right that matters will be made up of enthusiastic converts to a new-old faith, hot for a makeshift tent revival. The New Right will, necessarily, be a church full of old whores preaching brand new sermons. It won’t be old time religion. Not quite. It will have to be a candle waving archipelago of cults saying prayers, making grand and gory sacrifices to bring about a brand new age.

There will be many more conversion stories of how men and women came to the new faith, so many that they will become repetitive and boring. One of the big challenges will be to avoid getting bogged down in those meta-narratives of conversion—those “coming out” stories—and to find constructive pathways for new converts. In some cases, the old priests of liberalism may be the ones best suited to turn it against itself.

Don’t hold your breath. May be if this movement had started 15 years ago, with the current economic climate, I would agree. But with the new social media, breaking consensus reality in a meaningful way is extremely difficult.

It’s not as impossible as organizing a German national movement in modern Berlin, but its damn near close.

There is, I believe, worldwide momentum against Jewry at present. The best thing we can do is to latch ourselves onto it so we can break its stranglehold and organize without fear. I believe that Islam might be our best chance of doing so. The issue of Muslims counfounds our enemies because they are brown. Being brown they are automatically at the top of the racial heirarchy of the Left–never mind that race is a “meaningless” concept to them. And being brown they can say things about Jewry that we cannot. To the average American Leftist this is a dreadful position to be in. They want desperately to side with brown men–but against Jews? This is where our we are presented with an entrepot. With this in mind I think it wise to, perhaps almost reflexively, side with Muslims in world affairs. I am no friend of Islam but, for better or for worse, they seem destined to be a major part of all of our lives in the future and we ought to get in on the ground floor and use the intellectual confusion they cause to our benefit. Until the Jewish problem is solved we won’t be able to keep them out of our communities anyway. I am reading the Alexander Dugin book reviewed here recently and he suggests that there are only two real political “ideologies” left–complacency and dissent. The dissenting party at the moment, to a large degree, comprises the Islamic world. I propose to cautiously ally outselves with them in order to free ourselves from Jewish domination, leaving ourselves more able to organize in Germany and everywhere else.

I am aware that the Muslim problem in Europe is much greater than here in the States (I have shivered in anger watching Muslim hordes march through London demanding the destruction of the West so I have gotten a taste of it–it is terrifying and repulsive) so it might be the case that we have two fronts–an anti-Islamic European front and a pro-Islamic American front.) Although I still would suggest that for Europeans the ability of Muslims to critique Jews without being called Nazis is something of great value and should be carefully considered politically.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to corrupt ourselves and side with “brownies” especially not muslims. The truth is that our goals can’t be reconciled. The muslims wants to invade and colonise the white world and expell the jews from Israel, sending also them into the white world. We want to take controll over our own countries i.e. wrestle the power from the jews and hopefully get them packing for Israel, and to expell all aliens that have invaded the european countries. We simply want different things. On top of that the muslims are an ugly and vile bunch and the by far easiest group to incite whites against.

Muslims don’t care about us. No Muslim leader has ever spoken out for White folks or condemned Jews, capitalists or any other global faction for their role in harming White societies. And it can’t be because they don’t know how Jews operate because they smartest ones do. Muslims have shown no hesitation in taking advantage of the anti-White paradigm for their own benefit.

      3. Jacques Vendée says:
        September 22, 2012 at 12:26 pm

I do not for one second think that Muslims have any sympathy for us ( although someone like Seyyed Nasr and certain Traditionalists come to mind) nor would I expect them to ally with our interests. But in a purely strategic sense they open the door to a discussion of Jewry as a critical poltical issue. That is our number one problem. Anyone who criticizes Jews must be given space to do so. Muslims are, in a sense, fighting part of this battle for us– not with us, but for us. And as I suggested above, with Jewish world power as it stands we can do very little at present to stop the Islamization of the West. But if we channel Islam towards that power structure we will be able to deal with them afterwards as we rebuild our world. With Muslims we have an expendable and massive fighting force against Israel– and one which has a great deal of sympathy for anti- colonialists. This sympathy could even potentially be used to gain sympathy for our cause in the future. Can you imagine what a geopolitical alliance of the Christian and Muslim world could accomplish? And on a lighter, personal note I would rather live around mosques temporarily than Jewish porn shops eternally if I had to choose!

Sigh.. This article really made me feel (guess you could blame the alcohol somewhat) some of the feelings I carry around, the thoughts that goes through my mind each and every day on constant repeat.

I have a hard time seeing a future, even though I try, I really do. Some days I feel like a rebel with wind in my sails but some days it just feels pathetic how I sit there with a book from Arktos in my hand and for what? We don’t have time for books anymore.. I see my country falling apart, our history being erased right in front of me, reading comments online where people laugh about what a joke my homeland has become and I can’t reprove it because I know they’re right… I don’t know.. It’s just all getting to be a bit too much lately…

Yea, I’m afraid that what we are experiencing is an unbalanced scale, according to which day by day more ethnic minorities are brought into the west and more and more white children are born into a non-traditional environment.

On what basis can whites assert their identity? Reading books about traditional values does very little to make one into the sort of warrior who could protect given ideals. We are so far removed from our own identity, it feels very artificial and contrived to realize ourselves by merely reading about the past.

I just question whether or not there are enough QUALITY white men left to do change the world even if there was a drastic cataclysm which gave us an opening to move.

    Yep.

    Right on the money, there.

The best part of the Mark Dyal interview was hearing him refuse to disavow his time in black studies, or beat himself up for being “confused” or whatever. That kind of thinking can do no good for anyone.

    1. Daniel says:

I know for my part that I have been through a whole host of different ideological movements, from my days religiously reading anything and everything by Noam Chomsky and his fellow travelers to getting caught up in the Ron Paul “Revolution”, reading Lew Rockwell and Murray Rothbard, to when I moved into the orbit of Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, and the counter-jihad movement. I learned something invaluable from each group and couldn’t have got to where I am now if I had experimented and tried out some very bad ideas. Of course, I don’t know who anything will turn out for me, though I am by nature inclined toward right-wing authoritarianism (a fact I become more comfortable with as I dispense with the liberalism of my upbringing).

A few years ago I never thought that I would be reading (and agreeing with!) the writings of reactionary Catholics, right-wing neo-pagans, and anti-feminists.

    2. uh says:
      September 25, 2012 at 12:24 am

I used to be a rabid black nationalist and riot grrl feminist, myself.

In this way, I gained valuable insight to the mind of the leftist, whose starting point is always immoderate vindictiveness — anti-white politicking is a vehicle for the pleasure of persecuting, of defining oneself against a ‘reified’ external threat to the imagined moral order: precisely the social drama they ascribed to fin-de-siecle Germans and the anti-Semitic movement, for example.

The mind is only marginally rational; most of its operations are approximate and passionate. The urge to punish, to experience revenge, is one of them; PET scans in neurobiology labs have uncovered increased activity in the striatum, a reward center, in simple games where one player is cheated and imposes a retaliatory cost on the other player.

Mark wasn’t this kind of lefty. He was a young scholar who took a chance on a subject that society had told him was vitally important, and what he found wasn’t the blamelessness of blacks and the guilt of whitey, but his ability to navigate academic BS and arrive at his own conclusions.

      1. Izak says:
        September 25, 2012 at 3:52 pm

Very well said – Daniel’s post as well.

Generally speaking, I think that the chief difficulty for anyone overcoming a regrettable choice, or regrettable ideological position, or lifestyle habit, or addiction problem, or whatever, is in recognizing A) why it happened in the first place, and B) why it is ultimately forgivable.

The most unfortunate aspect of any “extremist” politics is the sort of resentment, the sort of revenge-based orientation, and the sort of self-cleansing, self-rationalizing anger that often brews up within people who do not possess the very cardinal necessity of being able to forgive themselves and even see how their own regrettable behaviors can be transformed from a negative into a positive. This kind of frustration is not a tendency that I see as endemic to any political position. It’s a human problem, and I think that no one has identified it and thought it through better than Nietzsche has.

Can you see yourself inside of the leftist (or whatever), and then forgive both him and yourself at once while paradoxically opposing him, standing up to him, and taking him down — all the while retaining the empathy with which you began? This is probably the New Right’s most real challenge of all.

The Left has allied with the Muslims in Europe. Evidently, they believe they will be able to handle them once White, Western Europe is conquered. They have another thing coming. And so will we if we make the same mistake. What should we do? Play both sides like the Jews always do – it will be a fine exercise for rusty minds and wills. And when people angrily ask us which side we ar one we can reply “Our side”.

  8. Roissy Hater says:

Its a common misconception that the internet is producing a torrent of diversified information which is breaking down the status quo. For some of us, yes, this is a golden age of enlightenment. For the masses, however, I would argue that the internet is being used in more socially and morally deleterious than positive ways against our race.

I’m graduating from college next year, and I can only tell you that young people are abusing their privilege … the internet is destroying the minds of the goyim quicker than television ever could. Facebook and other social media have an enormous leveling effect on the consciousness of whites, producing a collective darkness or ignorance and stupidity.

    1. Jacques Vendée says:
      September 23, 2012 at 6:46 pm

The masses will be the masses. The internet is only corrupting the minds of those whose minds would have been corrupted by other things anyway.

Our future does not stand on whether someone spends all day on Facebook any more than on whether one spends every weekend at a football game.

Perhaps I am not dealing with a representative population because I live in a particularly politically active part of the country (Leftist, of course) but I can tell you that I have never heard more open criticism of Israel in my life than in the past year or two. I do believe that this is a result of the internet. Yes, it can be used to control and anesthetize but it is a double-edged sword: the amount of dissenting opinion is exponentially greater and more accessible now to the average person than at any time in history. I don’t think that that point can be argued. It is up to us to channel it into daily life.

Re: Roissy’s comment, I ran across this remark on a left-leaning mainstream site. It comes from Deepak Chopra:

Social networks have the capacity to swiftly alter the global brain. On the surface, most tweets are small passing events. But stand back a bit, and you see that a new identity is being formed, a global “we” that anyone can participate in. This newly shaped global brain can topple the traditional barriers of religion, tribalism, nationalism, and political oppression.

Not exactly good news. If true, social media will reinforce Hollywood, mass media and globalism to further rot the traditional societies people cite as potential opposition to Western liberalism.

    1. Daniel says:
      September 23, 2012 at 5:58 pm

I must disagree with the New Age charlatan Chopra, in fact so-called social media has aided the forces of tribalism, religious fundamentalism, and other leftist bugaboos. Look how urban thugs use twitter and Facebook to stage “flash mobs” (i.e. black mob violence against defenseless whites and other non-blacks) in American cities. Look at how Islamic radicals have used the internet to spread the message of jihad and death to the Great Satan. The social media is a double edged sword.

I would enjoy learning Mark’s thoughts on applying the lessons of Italian Ultras (and CasaPound) to the American context.

The Italian Nationalists, like most Continental Nationalists, are rather more open about their sympathies and activities than their American counterparts, for a variety of reasons.

Can the ‘Ultra-model’ be applied to the American habitat? And if so, how?

The ‘final frontier’ for our people is to move from the shadows, into the light.

    1. uh says:
      September 25, 2012 at 12:05 am

      No.

Because the habitats are extremely different. Italy could fit into America nearly two-dozen times. Italian towns are narrow and packed with buildings. American towns are new and spread out. America’s populace is far more diverse than Italy’s. Italy’s people are more interrelated than white Americans, thus more inclined to support each other in social groups than other races. Soccer in Europe is the domain of fierce localists; American football is a weekend hobby, something on television for most. No one from Genoa watches AS Roma on television, while you can meet someone in New York eagerly following the career of the SF Giants or Miami Dolphins.

It also cannot be ‘applied’ because it isn’t a ‘model’ to begin with, but a natural ethnic strategy. If it isn’t happening already, it will not and cannot.

Mark’s study of the Ultras is wonderful stuff, but contains no lessons for White Nationalists. Except that Italians do it better.

  11. uh says:

Another great piece, by the way. I see hints of Reed, Goad, Paglia, even Cintra Wilson. Donovan is our vector with the popular idiom.

Leon Haller’s complaining at MR that his christer jive didn’t make the cut here. LOL.

  12. Luke says:
    September 25, 2012 at 1:14 pm

Those who fly around in the orbit of Mark Glenn of the Ugly Truth Podcast fame have been pushing this suicidal and extremely dangerous idea that White Nationalists need to buddy up with Muslims and do battle with the jew as a team. Glenn and Keith Johnson are the primary promoters of this poisonous idea – but, to a lesser extent, I have also heard it coming from Mark Dankof and Michael Collins Piper.

It’s dangerous and ill-advised to listen to these kinds of ideas. As other posters have stated, White Nationalists and Muslims have a few common objectives and we do share a common enemy – but there are insurmountable conflicts of interest between Muslims and White Nationalists which directly affect the goals and objectives of White European people worldwide – which is to basically regain total and unchallenged control over our native homelands and that is going to have to include expelling non-whites from our homelands. If anyone thinks for a minute that Muslims or any other non-white group who we try to ally ourselves with are going to voluntarily pack their suitcases without any complaints – and head home, once we’ve unseated the jews from power – then said individual needs to put their name on a list for a brain transplant because the one they have has failed them miserably.

Also, forming alliances with Muslims while jews control the levers of power inside White nations gives the jews the excuse they crave to start rounding up White Nationalists or sending their killer drones to fire missiles into our homes and then proclaim that they’ve just killed another ‘domestic terrorist’.
