The wiki entry on this music is very interesting. I guess that the man of genius can rise above the totalitarian state and create. Ambiguity being the word of the day. It reminds me the biblical expression “he who has ears, let him hear.”
I think it is clear to everyone what happens in the Fifth. The rejoicing is forced, created under threat. It’s as if someone were beating you with a stick and saying, ‘Your business is rejoicing, your business is rejoicing …’” (Allegedly said by the composer)
