Counter-Currents/North American New Right Newsletter: November 2011

Greg Johnson

859 words

Dear Friends of Counter-Currents,

1. Our Blog

In November, we added 70 posts to the website, for a total of 1,317 posts since going online on June 11, 2010. We also added over 300 new comments.

2. Our Readership and Web Traffic

Our web traffic has been plateaued since September. In November, we had 88,824 visits (down slightly from 90,444 visits in October). We had 44,445 unique visitors in November (down slightly from 45,590 in October). These visitors looked at 330,664 pages (down slightly from 337,137 in October). The slight slowdown is entirely attributable to the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. We noticed a similar slowdown last November, and we will see a similar slowdown around Christmas later this month.

  • Tanstaafl, “Where Jihad and Counter-Jihad Agree,” November 10, 2011, 1,018

Our big discovery for November was Julian Lee, whose articles on the white singing voice both ended up in the top ten. Andrew Hamilton had three pieces in our top 20. Matt Parrott had two. We also want to welcome Will Franklin and Tanstaafl to our top 20.

Irmin Vinson on Hitler, Gregory Hood on Scarface, and Vic Olvir on Sylvia Plath remain some of our most popular essays. In addition, the French translation of the Vinson article remained in our top 20 for the fourth consecutive month.

Other articles from past months that are in our top 20 include Jonathan Bowden on Frank Frazetta (for several months running now), Miguel Serrano on Carl Jung, and Andrew Hamilton on Norman Rockwell.

As we had hoped, Counter-Currents/NANR is much more than a blog with ephemeral commentary on the news. It is becoming an encyclopedia which people will be consulting for years to come to find racially-aware outlooks on everything.

6 Kindle and Nook Editions of Counter-Currents Books

The Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble Nook reading devices are changing the way books are read. Because e-books can be downloaded virtually instantaneously and they do not take up shelf-space or collect dust, they have made books into impulse buys. Combined with low pricing, Kindle and Nook books are encouraging people to be more adventurous in their reading habits. We hope to benefit from that trend. In November, Counter-Currents made our first six titles available in Kindle Editions. Kindle owners can also subscribe to the Counter-Currents/NANR blog and have all the new material on the site automatically downloaded to their Kindles.

In December, our titles will appear in Nook editions.

7. Plans for December

My focus as editor will be on getting several books to press: North American New Right, vol. 1, Kerry Bolton’s Artists of the Right, Andy Nowicki’s new novella Under The Nihil, Savitri Devi’s Forever and Ever (co-published with the Savitri Devi Archive), and Trevor Lynch’s White Nationalist Guide to the Movies.

We also plan, somehow, to produce out first Counter-Currents hour-long podcast show. At first, we will do it monthly, but when we get the hang of it, we will do it weekly.

* * *

I want to thank our writers, donors, and proofreaders; our webmaster/Managing Editor; and above all, you, our readers for being part of a growing intellectual and spiritual community.
