Counter-Currents/North American New Right Newsletter: October 2011

[1]651 words

Dear Friends of Counter-Currents,

Counter-Currents continues to grow. October was our best month ever.

1. Our Fundraiser

The big news is the successful conclusion of our first fundraising campaign. Thanks to a generous matching grant offer, we reached and exceeded our goal of $25,000, with a total $25,625. We want to thank all those who contributed for your generosity and faith in our work.

We have learned a lot about how do to fundraising. Next year, we plan to do two campaigns, one in the Spring, one in the Autumn, and we will keep them both short (10 days each).

2. Our Blog

In October, we added 100 posts to the website–our best month ever (up from 62 in September). As of the end of October, we had a total of 1,248 posts since going online on June 11, 2010. We also added over 300 new comments.

3. Our Readership and Web Traffic

In October, we had 90,444 visits (up from 88,782 visits in September). We had 45,590 unique visitors in October (up from 45,427 in September). These visitors looked at 337,137 pages (down from 422,902 in September due largely to better filtering out of bot traffic).

7. Plans for November & December

In November and December, my focus as editor will be on getting several books to press before the end of the year: North American New Right, vol. 1, Kerry Bolton’s Artists of the Right, Andy Nowicki’s new novella Under The Nihil, Savitri Devi’s Forever and Ever (co-published with the Savitri Devi Archive), and Trevor Lynch’s White Nationalist Guide to the Movies.

We also plan, somehow, to produce out first Counter-Currents hour-long podcast show. At first, we will do it monthly, but when we get the hang of it, we will do it weekly.

I want to thank our writers, donors, and proofreaders; our webmaster/Managing Editor; and above all, you, our readers for being part of a growing intellectual and spiritual community.
