First, the update, then a question for discussion.
Since our last update, we have received $125 in donations, plus several people have contacted us about sending donations in the mail. Again, we want to thank you for your support.

I read Counter Currents because it is a place where intelligent, mature and dedicated people with similar aims and values can engage in positive discourse. It also provides a virtual library of information to those who take an active interest in it. The popularity of this site is steadily rising because people are growing more receptive to the message; Counter Currents is doing a fantastic job of getting that message out there, in a way that elevates the overall dialogue. It is truly an invaluable resource.

Only counter-currents is willing to accept the proposition that the System we live under is dying, and something must be done to create a better System, a better Place, for our selves, our Families, and our Nation, in the fulfillment of a transcendent destiny.
We are not helpless. When we choose to achieve, we do so.
We will never win playing solely on defense. We must have something worth fighting FOR, and it must be greater than all of us. This worked for the Pilgrims, this worked for Brigham Young, it will work for us.
That means working within the temporal sphere effectively, and that leads to Harold Covinvgton’s Northwest Republic.
For the first time, we are taking responsibility for our Destiny, and are not merely blaming nebulous transnational entities. The articles and commentary are enlightening, as they do not support the false dualities the System uses to place us in the learned helplessness of double-bind states of Consciousness. And, too many nominally White Nationalist sites deal pretty much exclusively with News and Views about the Jews, to the exclusion of what WE can do about the situation in which we find our selves, the situation that we made for our selves, and can change for our selves.
The historic models of White Nationalism are fading into failure. People KNOW they are being lied to, but need a metapolitical framework for analysis, and a political framework for temporal effectiveness, that has the intellectual honesty to question everything it thinks it knows.
That sense of Duty to Destiny, intelligent derived and intelligently developed, is what will make counter-currents grow.

Why CC? Wonderful books for sale and great book recommendations along with intelligent, thoughtful, and insightful discussions all geared towards awakening us to our greatness-those of us who weren’t aware. I’m finally getting the education that I missed out on in my youth. I’m not educated and I’m not a youth but you’re never to old to learn.
Keep fighting the good fight. Thank you Dr Johnson, Mike Polignano, and gang.
Because it’s one of the few places where the most senstive topics can be discussed in a civilized way. It also provides invisible support for those who thought “am I the only one who thinks this way?”.
I read Counter-Currents because it is pretty much the only “WN” website that understands our fight for survival and prosperity is primarily metapolitical. When I read Counter-Currents I don’t have to choke down disgust at classically liberal, individualistic, kosher conservative nonsense; nor do I have to roll my eyes in almost equal disgust at the grossly over-simplified, the intellectually destitute, or hyper-rationalist articles found on pretty much every other “WN” website.
The contributors to and readers of Counter-Currents are the closest thing to an intellectual elite our movement has. Quite frankly, I don’t, and don’t want to fit in with the “mainstream” white nationalism, not because it is more “mainstream,” not because it isn’t elitist enough for me, but because I find it intellectually childish and spiritually bankrupt.
I read Counter-Currents because many of the readers and contributors understand that our movement will only succeed if incorporates Myth, High Culture, and the metaphysical, in addition to pragmatic rationalism.

I like the fact that there are many writers and all of a high caliber and all willing to tackle difficult subjects- Speaking of which I am anxiously waiting for F. Roger Devlin’s next offering.

In that Mahler thread I confessed I liked a couple of his pieces, both of which appeared in Visconti’s 1973 Death in Venice. Recently however, I spent a week trying to understand one of Mahler’s symphonies. It struck me as rather weak, not a masterpiece at all, except precisely the fourth movement, Sehr Iangsam Misterioso, that Visconti chose for his film.
Yes: unlike the giants most of Mahler compositions may be more mediocre than what the propaganda has taught us. But still once in a while you can find decent orchestral movements like the one cited above.
No need to reject 100% of the composer’s output only because he was a jew.
Hey, it’s halloween time, and scarecrows and strawmen are part of the decor.
Emotional: opening CC gives me a feeling of being at home. Understood. Not confronted with floods of lies, hostility and utter stupidity.
Very appealing: with the solid intellectuality. Like a good old whiskey, authentic, genuine
Instructive: all the information that is denied from us. E.g. how whites fought alien labour, Chinese, in California, thus inducing the anti-immigration laws.
Encouraging: to hear of past successes, encouraging to have a survey of present efforts, we are not alone fighting
Enabling: to build the own argumentation by providing all the infos
Public visibility: strengthens our cause
Very pleasant for the eye: the website´s look is so tidy, nice…. again that feeling of being at home in a old club with the high quality furniture, not soulless plastic stuff.
Entertaining: with the vast range of subjects, e.g. that series about the ocean or so, that man followed the wales on the oceans; vast temporaly, covering all epoches, vast WRT the subjects, literature, historical precedences, personalities etc.
Hope: that this effort promotes our case, the plan being excellent, preparing the field by metapolitics. Hope inspite of the perceived limitless advantage of the oligarchs
I comment rarely as I´m not very knowledgable, little to contribute, might just say, “well done, enjoyed”, maybe get a rating function. The site seems not so much like a forum, so not sure if extensive dispute is appropriate (also not native english speaker…).

I discovered the magnificent article I’ve added as the last entry in my blog precisely because Greg spotted it before me and included it at CC. In the comments section of the above-linked article I quoted White Republican’s meta-perspective on the ongoing “WN is not anti-Semitism” debate in another CC thread.
Why with my free time I read CC and not the other WN blogsites of my bookmarks?
Because without the proper meta-perspective I’d hardly understand the big picture of what’s happening in the West. Though by temperament I’d much prefer to be involved in a movement that uses the force of arms to further our goals, I reluctantly accept that before reaching the streets we first need to conquer the world of ideas: our categorical imperative in today’s deracinated world.
I read Counter Currents because it’s possibly the best website dealing with OUR history and OUR race on the web. It’s well-balanced, complete with excellent authors and, as rdub commented above, the comments are on a high-intellectual level and are sometimes more thought-provoking than the articles themselves!
I’ve learned a lot from Counter Currents and look forward everyday to more of it.
CC is a great intellectual treat for any National Socialist

I read Counter Currents because it is one of the very few sites which puts me in touch with my European Heritage. Since inception, I have encountered people and ideas that have literally been “scrubbed” from history, if one takes the latter-day distortion of history to be real history.
Counter-Currents has been very expensive for me. The small amount I donate monthly isn’t the pricey part: it’s the huge and growing library of books I’ve been “forced” to purchase that is cutting into the budget. The good news is: It’s been worth every penny, even though I still need more hours in the day to actually read and digest all this.
Where ELSE can someone go to find out WHAT HE IS in terms of his peoples’ artistic and literary heritage? Certainly not any “university”.
Aside from the books and articles about European heritage, Counter-Currents has become a kind of “home” for me. Not just the website, but the people involved in writing and getting together occasionally. Does that make me a “homey” in the “hood” (in the better sense of those terms!)? Hope so.
Even the recent “fireworks” in Michael O’Meara’s discussion of “anti-semitism” were invaluable to me. Many seem to see this as dirty laundry that should not be made public. I disagree. We are not a monolithic group, and we can only grow and learn if we can look on while the intellectual tigers among us work things out in the quintessential European manner of struggling toward a “new synthesis”. Maybe I didn’t say that “just right”, but I’m sure you get my drift.
I read and enjoy Counter-Currents precisely because it doesn’t shy away from “difficult” topics, and has not sold its soul to the fashionable left-right paradigm. I read it because it IS “elitist”: it’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it. I read it because it IS “Vanguardist”, and refuses to take the populist low road to nowhere.
Keep up the good work guys.
I’ll forego my huge annual expenditure on halloween costumes and dunking apples and pop some $$ in the pool to get those matching funds.
Unlike the blogosphere which follow the news cycle and who’s postings become tomorrows electronic fish and chip wrapping, the articles and books published pretty much stand the test of time. Its not only refreshing but ultimately more influential in the long run.

The news cycle blogs have their place, more in their capacity to demonstrate the topical applicability of racialist viewpoints than anything else, I think. The problem is the details are forgotten within days. The effect of that is that too often racialists (particularly when uncouth and uncensored) can come across as a pack of unreasonable whiners whose complaints, while containing an uncomfortable (for some) ring of truth, are best ignored or downplayed for the greater good. That wouldn’t be such a problem if racialists held power, but is a significant issue at present, considering racialists’ separation from the halls of power.
The value of CC is the long-term thinking about racial matters that it stimulates. Critics have something of a point in arguing that this is too removed from people’s everyday concerns, but that point is invalidated by the reality that the sorts of robust worldviews that CC seeks to inculcate are a necessity for the fateful minority upon whom it will fall to do the heavy lifting required to make racialism politically viable.
